After going several weeks without a player on the COVID-19 list, that has changed.
According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Patriots have placed wide receiver Julian Edelman on the list. As is the case with everyone placed on the list, it doesn't guarantee he tested positive, as he could have been in close contact with someone who did test positive.
Since he's been on injured reserve, he likely hasn't been around his teammates much, so the risk of it turning into an outbreak appears low.
The Patriots had a number of COVID-19 cases back in early October, which forced their game against the Broncos to be pushed back a week.
Bill Belichick offered a positive health update on the receiver earlier on Monday, but now his timeline will be pushed back whenever he was scheduled to return.
