For the first time in nearly two months, Julian Edelman has returned to the field.
According to the team, Julian Edelman was back at practice Wednesday held inside the Empower Field House. Due to COVID restrictions and the team practicing indoors, the media was not allowed to be present.
Edelman had a knee prodedure in late October that landed him on IR and then he was placed on the COVID-19/Reserve list Nov. 30. He was removed from that last week and now that he's returned to practice, he's off IR as well.
The wide receiver can return to action as soon as this Sunday, but since he hasn't practiced in so long we'll see if the team takes it slow with him.
Shilique Calhoun also returned, as he had been on IR since Nov. 14.
The team also relayed that players on the 53-man roster were present.
The Patriots will take on the Dolphins Sunday in Miami.
