Kelvin Benjamin, who was cut by Giants, rips Joe Judge: 'He sits there and cusses all day'

It's safe to say Kelvin Benjamin is not a fan of Giants coach Joe Judge.

Benjamin had quite the Wednesday that ultimately led to his release. The wide receiver got into a heated exchange with the former Patriots assistant on the practice field, walked off, and then was later released.

It's unclear exactly what it was over, but speaking with NJ.com, Benjamin said he never felt welcomed by Judge and it came down to him coming into training camp at 268 pounds when the Giants wanted him at 251 pounds.

Judge told Benjamin he would be fined and that's how everything started. The wide receiver believes since he put on muscle he would be a better player playing at that weight.

“To be honest, man, I just felt like it was all a hoax,” Benjamin said. “I felt like they didn’t give me a chance. I finished the conditioning. I finished all of that. I did what I was supposed to do. Everybody in the building was telling me I looked great. They never wanted the narrative to be good about me.”

He added: “I have a perspective on Joe Judge. He’s not a coach that can ever win a Super Bowl because he sits there and cusses all day. You can tell he’s one-sided about everything. He’s a know-it-all. That’s not how it’s supposed to work. We all can learn from each other. We’re all humans at the end of the day. The true colors will come out.”

Judge is going into his second year with the Giants.
