WEEI Football Sunday - JuJu Smith Schuster makes his return to the field

Not only did the Patriots lose to the Dolphins this weekend, but they may have also lost one of their best playmakers for an extended period of time in the process.

Wide receiver Kendrick Bourne went down with a right knee injury in the fourth quarter on Sunday and didn't return to the game. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Bourne will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. Based on the initial diagnosis, according to Rapoport, the hope is that it's an MCL injury, rather than an ACL.

Bourne has been one of New England's better players on offense this season, leading the team in catches (37), yards (406) and touchdowns (4).

"I have a lot of love for KB," Patriots quarterback Mac Jones said of Bourne and his injury following the game. "He's one of my best friends... Hope he's okay."
