Kendrick Bourne has only been with the Patriots a few short months, but it seems he likes what he's seen.

Speaking to Andrew Callahan of The Boston Herald last week at a charity golf tournament, Bourne expressed a desire to stay in New England for the remainder of his career, even though he's 25 years old.

“I would love to be here for a long time and finish here, for sure,” Bourne said. “To be in the community here is big. I just want to give back to wherever I am. That’s the main thing.”

Bourne spent the first four years of his career with the 49ers and is coming off his best season. In 2019, he totaled 49 catches for 667 yards and two touchdowns.

He signed a three-year deal worth up to $15 million with New England as a free agent.

“It was a no-brainer to come here. How much they believed in me and appreciated my play style was just awesome in and of itself,” Bourne said. “The way they accept me as I am, I just appreciate it. It would seem like the type of place where you can’t be so goofy or excited or how I am, but they let me be the way I am because they know I play best that way.”

Bourne is similar to all of the other Patriots receivers in that they are No. 3-4s on most rosters and will be competing for the most playing time.
