Apparently he wasn't comfortable after the game, either. According to reporters in Miami, Jones was seen heading to the X-ray room at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium following the Patriots' 20-7 loss. He left the room and returned to New England's locker room a few minutes later.

A short time later, the team announced that Jones would not be made available to the media due to a back injury.

It's unclear exactly when Jones may have suffered the injury. As mentioned, he did take several hard hits throughout the game. He didn't miss any offensive snaps, though.

Jones finished the game with 213 yards through the air on 21-of-30 passing while. He threw a touchdown pass to Ty Montgomery, but also committed two turnovers on an interception and fumble.

UPDATE: X-rays on Jones were reportedly negative, and he'll be further evaluated when the team returns home.
