Tuesday is typically a day off for Patriots players, but not for Mac Jones.

The rookie and the other Patriots quarterbacks meet with Bill Belichick at the facility, which is something the coach did with Tom Brady during the majority of his time with the team.

Speaking Wednesday, Jones acknowledged these meetings do in fact take place and offered a little insight into what they are like.

“Yeah, we try and meet and with the quarterbacks and stuff and figure out just situational stuff, which helps," he said. "I can’t go into details on that, but it is really beneficial, just whether it’s the team we’re playing or whatever. Just watching football, hearing it from a great coach like him, get advice from the guys in the room who have played for a lot longer than I have. So just listening and trying to see what they see and just pick up on things, and it definitely helps to start the week off right, I guess you could say.”

Jones also said while he wants to correct everything he does wrong, he's also careful not to put too much on his plate.

“I think sometimes you can do too much, so I always just try and pick one thing each day to get better at," he said. "Whether it’s bending my knees or like finding this on the defense, or whatever. Just pick one thing and kind of just move on from there. If you try and focus on too many things then you’re all over the place.”

Jones and the Patriots will face Brady and the Buccaneers Sunday night at Gillette Stadium.
