It's February 2 and the Mac Jones hype to the Patriots is ever present.

Appearing on NFL Network's Good Morning Football Tuesday, the former Alabama quarterback was asked about many connecting him to the Patriots.

“There’s all sorts of things out there, I guess, but for me I got to meet with all 32 teams and got to meet with the Patriots," he said of last week at the Senior Bowl. "There were some scouts there, so hopefully I left a good impact on them. I think Coach Belichick and Coach Saban have a great relationship and I hope Coach Saban has good things to say about me. I assume he would. And obviously one of my buddies Damien Harris plays up there, too. I talk to him a good amount.”

If the Patriots land Jones, it likely would come with the No. 15 overall pick, which may be a little high for the Alabama QB.

It's not all that surprising the hype is so big given Jones playing for Saban and his connection with Belichick on top of the Patriots being in the quarterback market.

There's still a ton to play out between now and the draft, which is why it's too early in the process to definitively connect teams to players.
