Mac Jones doesn’t post on Instagram often. But when he does, his Patriots teammates flood his account with messages of support.

Jones posted a photo dump of the Patriots’ 2022 season Wednesday, featuring six photos from the team’s disappointing campaign.

A slew of Patriots players, including DeVante Parker, Kendrick Bourne and Chrisitan Barmore, offered Jones their support in the comments.

The photo captain, “If—,” is a reference to the poem by Rudyard Kipling, which he wrote in 1910. Jones also referenced the poem last summer, along with Theodore Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech.

Interestingly enough, Tom Brady has also quoted “If—“ on Instagram, and he’s also a big fan of Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena.” The speech is the title of his 10-part docuseries, after all.

Jones told reporters last summer he learned about the two works from his dad.

“I do love the two poems a lot, so that's a big shout out to my dad because he kind of gave me those when I was probably like 6 years old," Jones said. "He kind of explained everything to me. And as I grew, I continue to just enjoy that.”

Kipling’s poem, for those wondering, is about maintaining mental balance and not getting wrapped up in emotion (the words can be found here).

Anybody know how that message might be relevant to Jones this offseason?
