Brian Hines of Pats Pulpit shared the evidence to the Twitter world.

Though Jones presents as a baby-faced kid, his decision to tape a physical reminder of the brutal end to his otherwise successful rookie season indicates he’s a maniacal competitor — just like many of the greats at his position. How many times have we heard that Tom Brady was a sixth-round pick, for example?

Great athletes regularly use low points as motivational tools.

It’s been a frustrating camp for Jones, who’s reportedly struggled to implement the Patriots’ new offensive scheme. He didn’t play in their first preseason game Thursday, along with the rest of the starters.

Jones entered camp this season brandishing much more confidence and authority, according to his teammates. He’s also transformed his body.

For what it’s worth, Jones actually wasn’t atrocious in that wild card matchup. The Bills quickly ran up a 27-0 lead, thanks to some pathetic Patriots defense. Buffalo didn’t punt once the entire game.

Maybe Jones should pass that picture around the locker room. He’s not the only player who could use a reminder of last season’s playoff shellacking.
