Count Mac Jones as one of those who wants to give Patriots center David Andrews a pat on the back his support of the quarterback Sunday.
While Andrews did draw a penalty flag for taunting after running over to protect Jones following a late-hit on the quarterback, the Pats' QB made it clear on Merloni and Fauria that there are no issues taken with his approach.
"I really appreciate (Andrews) having my back, along with the offensive line,” said Jones in the interviews with Meghan Ottolini and Ben Volin. "At the end of the day it’s football. We’re all going to go out there and compete. It was just one of those plays I guess the refs made the call and it kinda is what it is... I can’t thank them enough for having my back in every situation."
