The Patriots offense seems to be figuring things out over the last few weeks.

Mac Jones and Co. scored 29 points in the Week 6 loss to the Cowboys at home and then 54 in the blow out win over the Jets last Sunday. Those totals were their highest of the season.

So, what's the next step for the Patriots offense?

“I think just consistency," Jones said via video conference Wednesday. "We’ve addressed the issues that we’ve had and we still have to work on stuff and red zone is always important, third down and being good on first and second down. We always want to take care of the ball and stick to our principles of the offense and what our M.O. is. That’s just not turning the ball over and being productive regardless of the calls.

"I think there’s plenty of improvement to be made and every week provides a new challenge and every week the improvements and change drastically depending on the defense and stuff like that with what we need to focus on. It’s a week-to-week grind and it makes it a lot of fun.”

Sunday against the Jets was the first game all year the offense did not turn the ball over.

As for if the offense has found its identity, Jones pointed to the last 20 or so years.

"I think the offensive identity has been established throughout the past 20 years here, and we're trying to get there and trying to establish playing to the standard that we have, and, you know, this year it's our team, and we're kind of figuring out our pieces and we're putting them together," Jones said. "But like I said, you can't just do it for a few games or a game or a few plays. You have to do it every day, every week and on every Sunday, so we know that, and we're not satisfied. We're just trying to continue to work to find our identity and just work from there."

New England will look to continue its momentum this Sunday in Los Angeles against the Chargers.
