In case you thought the takes about the NFL being rigged after Kansas City’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship couldn’t get any wilder, Arian Foster has a beer for you to hold. (Well, not really.)

The former Texans running back did a little Kyrie Irving-esque troll job on Barstool’s “Pardon My Take” this week, saying the NFL literally scripts its seasons and that he’d get the scripts dropped off at his locker before the year.

“We were really dedicated to it,” he said with a perfect deadpan. “That’s what practice was about. It was about practicing the script. ‘This is what goes on. This is what we have to do.’ We know what’s gonna happen, but you still have to put on a show.”

Though Foster comes off as serious, his response cuts down to the absurdity of the premise that the NFL season could actually be fixed from beginning to end, including random injuries popping up.

The bit was well-executed, but the quote tweets on the original video have been an absolute national treasure as players and fans from snake-bitten franchises continue to chime in with hilarious responses.

Patriots Pro Bowler Matthew Judon couldn’t resist getting in on the action, using New England’s last-second loss to the Las Vegas Raiders – one of the most dumbfounding moments any of us have ever seen on a football field – as evidence.

“Who TF wrote the vegas ending?” he tweeted Wednesday.

Okay, but really: who came up with that idea? Because that was severely uncool. I especially hope Jakobi Meyers and Rhamondre Stevenson have a redemption arc coming up in 2023.

Anyway…the NFL’s not rigged, no matter how much people don’t like the outcomes. But it sure is funny to joke about.
