No one has any idea what the Patriots quarterback position will look like next season.

Appearing on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Friday, former Patriots executive Mike Lombardi was given some potential names and he reacted to whether or not he views them as a fit.

One player who he does see as a potential match is Jameis Winston.

Mitch Trubisky: "No chance."

Jameis Winston: "I think you can fix James Winston. I was thinking the Patriots might have an interest this offseason in Jameis Winston because I think he can be fixed.”

Marcus Mariota: "I think he’s under contract. I think [the Raiders] have an option for the next year. That’s the best I’ve seen Mariota look in his entire career [Thursday night] in the second half. I thought he played really well. I would take a chance on him. I know it’s just one game. Everyone loved him coming out of college, but when he went to Tennessee it wasn’t pretty. That was the best, even Tennessee people would say that’s the best they’ve seen him play too."

Winston signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Saints last offseason, so he will be a free agent one again.
