Selecting at No. 15 overall in the NFL Draft, the Patriots will certainly have options.

They could look to trade up into the top 10 and potentially take a quarterback, stay at No. 15 and get a good player, or see value and move back in the first round to collect future picks.


One senior NFL executive believes Bill Belichick would trade up into the top 10 if a quarterback he likes starts to fall.

“I could see him trading up for that,” one senior executive said to The Athletic. “In (Belichick’s) mind, he’s probably going, ‘I’m not going to be picking 15 again, so let me go trade up (while here).'”

Selecting No. 15 is the highest the Patriots have picked since 2008.

If the team does stay at No. 15, one top personnel executive said to keep an eye on Penn State defensive end Jayson Oweh even though he's projected to be a late first or second-round pick.
