Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry’s future in New England is uncertain, at best.
Various reports this offseason have indicated multiple NFL teams have shown interest in trading for the disappointing former 2019 first-round pick out of Arizona State.
According to ESPN, the Washington Football Team may be joining that list of suitors.
ESPN reported on Wednesday that WFT is “monitoring” the Harry trade situation. Noting that at least three other teams could be interested in Harry, ESPN cites a source saying it would be “hard to imagine New England settling for anything less than a fourth-round pick.”
In two seasons with the Patriots, Harry has played in just 21 of a possible 32 games with 14 starts. He’s amassed 45 catches for 414 yards (a lowly 9.2 avg.) with just four touchdowns as the second receiver taken in his otherwise impressive draft class of pass catchers.
Further clouding Harry’s future in Foxborough is fact that New England invested in the wide receiver free agent market twice this offseason, landing both Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne to multi-year deals worth more than $20 million each.
