For weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, we were told there was a more collaborative approach going on inside Gillette Stadium relating to scouting for the NFL Draft.

But, what exactly did that entail? Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer gave same details in his Monday Morning Quarterback column on Monday.

According to Breer, Belichick was in the office this spring more than in past years and held more formal draft meetings, which was a change from the norm. He also reiterated how Dave Ziegler, Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh were elevated to have more prominent roles following Nick Caserio's departure to Houston.

Breer also noted scouts from outside the organization noted the change as the players the Patriots selected this year were all productive college players and there were no wild card picks like in some previous years.

New England made eight selections in the draft -- Mac Jones, Christian Barmore, Ronnie Perkins, Rhamondre Stevenson, Cameron McGrone, Joshuah Bledsoe, William Sherman and Tre Nixon.
