One Patriots free agent remains unsigned and he could potentially be staying in the AFC East.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Brian Hoyer is scheduled to visit the Jets on Thursday.
Hoyer, 35, has certainly bounced around the league, but he's spent the most time with the Patriots, as he's had three different stints with the team. His most recent came last year when he was in the quarterbacks room alongside Cam Newton and Jarrett Stidham.
The Jets currently have a QBs room consisting of James Morgan and Mike White, but it's almost a guarantee they will select Zach Wilson at No. 2 overall.
This could be an ideal situation for Hoyer, as he's shown he can be a great mentor and almost serve as an extension of the coaching staff.
Meanwhile, the Patriots have Newton, Stidham and Jake Dolegala as quarterbacks on their roster.
