It seemed like David Andrews would not be returning to the Patriots based on the report of him testing free agency and then the signing of Ted Karras, but that won't be the case.

According to multiple reports, Andrews has re-signed with the Patriots. ESPN's Field Yates adds it is a four-year deal.

Andrews had received interest from the Dolphins and likely others, but it seemed from the start his No. 1 goal was to remain in New England.

This is great news for the team and especially the offensive line, as the center has been a team captain for the last four seasons. Andrews' presence in the locker room is extremely important and it would have been a huge blow to lose him.

Karras likely now will serve in the same role he did during his first stint with the team, as a backup. But, depth is never a bad thing to have since injuries can happen at any time.
