Jamie Collins is back for his third stint with the Patriots, but it won't cost them all that much.
According to Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal, Collins received a one-year deal with a base salary of $1,075,000. It's so low because he's still owed $8.8 million in guaranteed money from the Lions.
“It was just super cool, man, to come back in here and just know that I can go out with these guys again,” Collins said Friday when speaking to reporters. “For a third time. Like, three times? That’s big. I’m just super grateful for it.”
It's unclear exactly how Collins will fit in with the Patriots defense, but Bill Belichick seems to know how to get the most out of of him, especially compared to other NFL teams.
