The Patriots will be without James White for awhile.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Giardi, White suffered a subluxation of the hip during Sunday's game against the Saints. He was carted off the field in the second quarter.


The report adds he's out indefinitely and likely will go on injured reserve following tests Monday.

White was the offense's most consistent player through the first two games of the season and it struggled without him Sunday.

Damien Harris, J.J. Taylor, Brandon Bolden and Rhamondre Stevenson will all be asked to do a little bit more with White out.
