Cornerback JC Jackson will be with the Patriots for at least another season.
According to multiple reports, Jackson has signed his second-round tender with the team. This will pay him $3.384 million in 2021 and then he will become an unrestricted free agent following the season.
Jackson had an outstanding 2020 season where he finished with nine interceptions, the second-most in the NFL.
There was some thought Jackson and the Patriots would come to terms on an extension this offseason, but that did not come true.
Jackson will be 26 years old next offseason and figures to earn a big contract, as he will be one of the best cornerbacks available.
As of now, he and Stephon Gilmore will continue to be one of the best cornerback tandems in the league.
