Roughly midway through Thursday's joint practice with the Giants, Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones left the field.

It appeared he injured his left leg/foot in 11-on-11 work and walked slowing to the athletic training area with head trainer Jim Whalen. At the time, it looked like it could be semi-serious, but a day later the update is good.

According to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus, Jones' injury is "nothing significant."

This is good news because the Patriots are very thin at the position, especially with Stephon Gilmore still not on the field.

The Patriots traded for Ravens cornerback Shaun Wade, which some took as relating to Jones potentially being out awhile.

New England will take on the Giants Sunday night in the preseason finale.
