Julian Edelman hasn't played a game since Oct. 25 following having a knee procedure on his knee and now finds himself on the COVID-19/reserve list.
Being out for so long, many have wondered if he will return at all this year, and it seems like he will -- although just not in the short-term.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Edelman "fully intends" to return this year, but is "still a couple of weeks" away from joining the team.
The Patriots will stay in L.A. following Sunday's game with the Chargers to take on the Rams Thursday night and then will take on the Dolphins in Miami in Week 15.
If the Patriots are still in playoff contention, Edelman certainly would give the offense, and especially the passing game, a boost.
Edelman has 21 receptions for 315 yards in six games this year.
