Jerod Mayo is a name to watch over the next few weeks.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Mayo is expected to emerge as a leading candidate for the Texans’ head-coaching job following David Culley being fired after one season on Thursday.
With Nick Caserio and Jack Easterby leading the organization, it's expected those with Patriots ties would be highly considered. Other names to watch are Josh McDaniels and Brian Flores.
Aaron Wilson reports Flores is Houston's top candidate.
Mayo has also generated interest from the Broncos, as they requested an interview with the Patriots' inside linebacker.
If the Patriots lose to the Bills this weekend, expect things to pick up quite a bit with both Mayo and McDaniels.
