Mohamed Sanu has a new team.
According to his agent, Mike McCartney, the wide receiver has agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers.
The 31-year-old was released by the Patriots the week of roster cuts. Sanu was traded to the Patriots before the deadline last season, but besides a 10-catch first game against the Ravens, he did not do much.
Sanu had offseason ankle surgery, but did not make a big enough impression on the Patriots' coaches to keep him around with a $6.5 million salary.
In eight games with New England last year, he finished with 26 receptions for 207 yards and a touchdown.
Sanu landing in San Francisco isn't much of a surprise as it needs some bodies at receiver and the team had said they were interested at the time of his release.
