The Patriots are spending their money early and often.
According to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Patriots have agreed to a four-year, $56 million deal, including $32 million over the first two years with former Ravens pass rusher Matt Judon.
Judon, 28, has played his entire five-year career with Baltimore. He's totaled 16.5 sacks the last two seasons and has 236 tackles over the course of his career.
With the Ravens, he played a hybrid position of outside linebacker and defensive end. Based on his past, he seems like a perfect scheme fit for the New England defense.
Given the value of the deal, this could be the biggest signing for the Patriots this offseason.
Judon has made the Pro Bowl each of the last two seasons.
