The Patriots have had some issues with depth in the secondary in recent weeks and it seems the team knows it.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, veteran Brian Poole is working out for the Patriots Wednesday.
Poole played for the Falcons from 2016-18 and then the Jets the last two years. In nine games last year he had two interceptions and seven passes defensed.
He was with the Saints over the summer, but placed on injured reserve and released last week.
New England also signed Myles Bryant off the practice squad Tuesday to fill Chase Winovich's spot on the roster.
It's unclear if he'll sign, but it shows the team is aware of its lack of depth at the position.
