Patriots, Chiefs facilities reportedly closed Saturday, Sunday – if game played, likely will be Tuesday

It's looking more and more likely if the Patriots-Chiefs do play in Week 4, it will be Tuesday.

According to MMQB's Albert Breer, both the Patriots and Chiefs facilities will be closed Saturday and Sunday following Cam Newton and Chiefs practice squad QB Jordan Ta'amu reportedly testing positive for COVID-19.

The league plans to utilize normal PCR testing plus point-of-care testing daily for both teams until further notice, and wants to see the results before making a final determination as to how to move forward.

This likely will not happen until late Sunday/Monday morning and then if everything is a go, New England would fly to Kansas City Monday.

Because of this, if played, the game will likely be held Tuesday night. Monday is still possible with a special exemption for day-of-game travel, but Tuesday seems a lot more likely.
