The Patriots have made a move to address their lack of depth at tight end.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the team has claimed tight end Jordan Thomas off waivers after he was waived by the Cardinals Saturday.
Thomas was a sixth-round pick by Texans in 2018 when he recorded career-best 20 catches for 215 yards, and four touchdowns. He played in just five games last year and was released following training camp this year.
He appeared in four games with the Cardinals this season.
The Patriots are thin at the position with Devin Asiasi on injured reserve and Dalton Keene and Ryan Izzo banged up.
The move is expected to be processed Tuesday with the Patriots playing Monday night.
