The NFL has been penalizing teams for violating COVID-19 protocols throughout the year and now the Patriots have joined the list.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have been fined $350,000 for protocol violations back in October when Cam Newton, Stephon Gilmore and others tested positive.
It's unclear exactly what the violations were as at the time the NFL's chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills said the Patriots were highly compliant.
There was a report of Newton and Gilmore having dinner together, so perhaps that has something to do with it.
If the Patriots have another violation, they risk losing a late-round draft pick.
