The Patriots have added a player at the trade deadline.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New England has acquired wide receiver Isaiah Ford in a deal with the Dolphins.
[UPDATE 3:30 p.m.]: Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports the Patriots will send Miami a 2022 seventh-rounder.
Ford is a three-year veteran who has appeared in 16 career games. In seven games this year, he has 18 catches for 184 yards. Last year, he had 23 catches for 244 yards.
According to Pro Football Focus, he has played 207 of his 225 snaps this season in the slot.
The 6-foot-2 wide out is a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Ford will add depth to a wide receiver position that lost Julian Edelman for several weeks this past week and it's unclear when N'Keal Harry will be able to return.
It's unknown if he will be able to play Monday night due to COVID protocols.
