The Patriots continue to build their lists in case of emergency.
According to the NFL transaction wire, the Patriots hosted three defensive players for workouts on Tuesday -- linebacker Nathan Gerry, defensive back Tae Hayes and defensive end Carlo Kemp.
Gerry is the biggest name. He has appeared in 46 career games with the Eagles over the last four years. His best season came in 2019 when he started 12 games and finished with 78 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
No signings appear imminent, although it is worth noting the Patriots have two open spots on their practice squad. On Tuesday, James Ferentz was brought back after his release from the 53-man roster on Monday, and then cornerback Brian Poole was released.
One of those spots could go to a running back depending on the status of Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson, who both suffered head injuries last week.
