Sorry, Brian Burns.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Patriots quarterback Mac Jones was not fined for what happened in last Sunday's game against the Panthers.
The Patriots rookie grabbed the ankle of Brian Burns after a strip sack in the first half, which upset the Panthers captain.
“It would be nice to have an apology," he said to reporters last week. "But, I mean, it’s not going to happen. However the NFL handles it, it’s on them. I would just like to play them again. I wish all my fellow D-end brothers happy hunting. That’s all.”
Burns indicated he hoped the league would look into what happened, but it appears the league didn't think a fine was necessary.
The Patriots will host the Browns this Sunday.
