Another former Patriots player is headed to Houston to join Nick Caserio.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have signed veteran running back Rex Burkhead. The 30-year-old tore his ACL late last season, but based on social media his recovery is going well.

New England's running backs room was quite full with Damien Harris, James White, Sony Michel, J.J. Taylor, Rhamondre Stevenson, Brandon Bolden and Tyler Gaffney.

Burkhead will join David Johnson, Mark Ingram, Philip Lindsay, and Dontrell Hilliard in Houston. Coming off the injury, he likely will not be able to join the team until during the season.

With the Patriots over four years, Burkhead finished with 1,026 yards and 11 touchdowns on 253 carries, while also adding seven receiving touchdowns.
