Most teams in the NFL have played six games, so that means players who started the year on PUP (physcially unable to perform) are able to begin practicing and return in Week 7.
One of those players is cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who was traded two weeks ago by the Patriots to the Panthers. Gilmore was on PUP following quad surgery at the end of last year.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Gilmore is expected to begin practicing this week.
It's unclear whether or not he'll be ready to play this Sunday, but things do seem to line up for him being on the field when the Patriots play the Panthers on Nov. 7.
Meanwhile, the Patriots allowed 567 yards of total offense to the Cowboys on Sunday, the most ever in the Bill Belichick era.
