Over the last year-plus, it's hard to find a more consistent player for the Patriots than Nick Folk.

The veteran was very solid last season and has carried it through the first five games of this season.

Folk did miss the potential game-winning 56-yard field goal against Tampa Bay last week and an early missed extra point against Houston, but bounced back quickly with four field goals, helping the Patriots take care of business against the Texans, 25-22.

“The next kick is always the most important," Folk said on Gresh & Keefe Monday. "That’s kind of the attitude I’ve had throughout my whole career. The last one doesn’t really have to define you at all. Just got to move on, make a quick correction once you can feel what happened on the kick before — make a quick correction on the field and put it out of your memory. Just worry about the next one, worry about the next kick that you have to deal with. Luckily enough we were able to do that and made enough in that game to keep the team in the position to get the win at the end there.”

Folk is 14-for-15 on field goals this season with a long of 52. Overall, since joining the Patriots at the end of 2019 he's 54-for-60 on field goal attempts and 48-for-53 on extra points.

While it will be acknowledged Folk is consistent, he still gets knocked for not having a big leg and being able to kick long field goals. But, he's proving that narrative incorrect.

Since the beginning of last season, Folk is 15-for-16 on field goals 40-49 yards and then 4-for-6 on 50-plus yard kicks.

Pretty impressive for a 36-year-old.

Folk remains one of the most consistent players on the Patriots roster and has certainly earned the trust of everyone.
