The Patriots will wrap up the regular season Sunday afternoon in Miami against the Dolphins.

They have clinched a spot in the playoffs, but are still playing for seeding, while the Dolphins have been eliminated. With that being said, almost every ESPN reporter/analyst picked New England this week, but not Rob Ninkovich.

Ninkovich called into Merloni & Fauria Friday afternoon to explain why.

“Guess what, I’ve gone down to Miami at the end of the year and I’ve lost," he said. "I can just tell you its always a hard game in Miami in [December and January]. It’s really hard to win down there.”

The former Patriots defensive end/linebacker also brought up how a lot of the Miami coaches used to coach in New England and there will be plenty of motivation on their end.

Listen to all of what Ninkovich said, beginning at the 2:45 mark below.
