The Panthers are still talking about Mac Jones grabbing Brian Burns' ankle following his strip sack against the Patriots on Sunday.
Burns spoke to reporters Wednesday and after a number of questions about what happened was asked what he wants to happen?
“It would be nice to have an apology," he said. "But, I mean, it’s not going to happen. However the NFL handles it, it’s on them. I would just like to play them again. I wish all my fellow D-end brothers happy hunting. That’s all.”
The Panthers captain didn't buy Jones' explanation that he thought he had the ball.
“Everything didn’t seem right about it," he said. "I’m down there in pain or whatever the case may be. He just kind of looked at me and walked off like he did his job, or some bull like that. After seeing [the video] that’s when I realized, like damn.”
Jones did not practice Wednesday, but when asked he said he expects to play Sunday.
If you haven't seen the play, here's the video.
