FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have announced their captains for the 2021 season.
They are David Andrews, Dont'a Hightower, Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater and James White, which don't come as much of a surprise.
All players have been captains in the past, while Lawrence Guy and Ja'Whaun Bentley were captains last year.
This year marks the 11th season as captains for McCourty and Slater, while this is the fifth year for Andrews and fourth season for both Hightower and White.
Bill Belichick didn't have much to say about captains earlier in the day when asked about them in general.
"Whoever the players select," he said.
The Patriots will host the Dolphins Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
