Patriots cornerback JC Jackson was a restricted free agent this offseason and signed a first-round tender with the team that will have him making under $4.8 million in 2021.
Some thought the Patriots could look to sign him to a multi-year extension, but that didn't happen.
Jackson shared his thoughts speaking with NFL Media's Mike Giardi.
"I didn't get no extension. So what? Who cares? I know it's coming," he said. "I just love the game, man. The money going to come. I just love playing football."
The Maryland product did make it clear he views himself as a No. 1 corner.
"Of course I am," Jackson said. "I would never settle for less. I would never say I'm No. 2, No. 3. I'm No. 1."
Jackson surely will be paying attention to what happens with Stephon Gilmore, as if he gets a multi-year extension the team may not have enough money for Jackson.
