Eight weeks of NFL action are in the books and some statistical trends have taken hold across the league. As such, WEEI.com will check in each week through the remainder of the season to see how the Patriots (4-4) are doing statistically in a variety of areas, both on a team level and as individuals.

Pats stats analysis: After a somewhat slow start to the season that included a costly fumble in the opening day loss to the Dolphins, Damien Harris is hitting his midseason stride. New England’s clear lead back, Harris is now in the top 10 in the NFL in attempts (t-6th), rushing yards (6th) and rushing touchdowns (t-3rd). … Even coming off arguably his worst game of the season, Mac Jones remains among the top QBs in the NFL in attempts (4th), completions (4th), yards (8th) and completion percentage (8th). He’s certainly been the most consistent, productive rookie quarterback. … With 1.5 sacks against Justin Herbert and the Chargers, Matt Judon is tied for 4th in the NFL in that category. Judon is on pace to not only shatter his previous career high for sacks (9.5), but also to challenge the Patriots franchise record (18.5, Andre Tippett, 1984). … Thanks to four more field goals in L.A., Nick Folk now leads the NFL in scoring with 76 points on the season. … As a team, the Patriots have found their way into the top 10 in the NFL in points (10th), points allowed (8th) and point differential (8th).
