Where do the Patriots' offensive weapons rank?
If the Patriots are going to add DeAndre Hopkins, it's not going to be at DeVante Parker's expense.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots and Parker have agreed to a new three-year contract worth up to $33 million. The deal includes $14 million in guaranteed money.
The 30-year-old Parker had 31 catches for 539 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games last year. That was his first season as a Patriot after seven years with the Miami Dolphins.
Many had speculated that Parker could end up as the odd man out if the Patriots do end up signing Hopkins, something they could be the favorites to do, according to at least one recent report.
Locking up Parker could be an indication that the Patriots aren't expecting to land Hopkins, or it might just mean Parker's job was never in jeopardy even if they do get Hopkins.
