It appears Dave Ziegler will play a key role in replacing Nick Caserio, who left New England this past week to be the new GM of the Texans.
Ziegler, the Patriots' assistant director of player personnel, interviewed for the Broncos GM job Saturday, but according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, he has withdrawn his name from being considered.
This means he will remain in New England and likely will have a key role in replacing Caserio.
Ziegler was promoted this past season to assistant director of player personnel working directly under Caserio.
