After a busy offseason, the Patriots will look a lot different on the field with all the new players added. They will also look different off the field, as there were several changes and additions to the front office.
The 2021 media guide was released Wednesday, which noted the changes.
For starters, Dave Ziegler is officially the director of player personnel, replacing Nick Caserio. Ziegler was assistant director of player personnel in 2020.
A few received promotions, including Steve Cargile (pro scouting director), Matt Groh (college scouting director) and Brian Smith (personnel coordinator). These were evident around the draft.
Those weren't the only promotions either, as Camren Williams, Tucker Ingraham were promoted to national scouts. And then a number of new faces were added.
Former undrafted rookie A.J. Howard was hired as a college scout, along with Justin Hickman and Josh Hinch. Finally, Sam Fioron was added as a pro scout and Chris Caminiti, Matt Evans as area scouts.
This comes following some movement on the coaching staff, which became apparent with the start of training camp.
