The Patriots are making a change to their staff in the wake of their Super Bowl loss, according to a new report.
Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that defensive coordinator Terrell Williams is moving "to a high-ranking role on the staff." That opens up a very desirable job in the NFL.
Zak Kuhr, inside linebackers coach, took over Williams' job duties during the season, playoffs, and Super Bowl, while Williams battled a shocking cancer diagnosis. Williams is now cancer-free. Kuhr, meanwhile, is "a top candidate," according to Rapoport.
Williams previously worked with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel in Tennessee. He was first hired as a defensive line coach, then gained a promotion to assistant head coach.
