The Patriots made a few roster moves ahead of taking on the Rams Thursday in L.A.
Linebacker Jack Cichy was released with a failed physical designation after the team claimed him off waivers just last Thursday. Cichy was recently released by the Buccaneers.
Cichy never practiced with the Patriots as he was never granted a roster exemption.
In addition, the team signed defensive back Dayan Lake and wide receiver Devin Smith to the practice squad.
Lake is an undrafted rookie, who can play all over the secondary. While Smith was selected in the second-round by the Jets in 2015. Playing for the Cowboys and Texans Smith has 15 catches on 40 targets for 248 yards and two touchdowns in 18 career games.
The Patriots will take on the Rams Thursday night.
