To say the Patriots' search for their next offensive coordinator has been extensive would be an understatement.

According to SI's Albert Breer, New England interviewed 49ers passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak for the position and plans to meet with Raiders passing game coordinator Scott Turner as well.

The search in now up to 11(!!) interviewees. Here's a running list:

- Nick Caley (Rams)
- Zac Robinson (Rams, hired by Falcons)
- Dan Pitcher (Bengals, hired by Bengals)
- Shane Waldron (Seahawks, hired by Bears)
- Jerrod Johnson (Texans)
- Thomas Brown (Panthers)
- Tanner Engstrand (Lions)
- Brian Fleury (49ers)
- Luke Getsy (Bears)
- Klint Kubiak (49ers)
- Scott Turner (Raiders)

Klint Kubiak is the son of long-time NFL head coach and Super Bowl 50 champion Gary Kubiak. The 36-year-old has coached in both college and the pros with NFL stops with the Minnesota Vikings (offensive quality control in 2013-14, quarterbacks coach in 2019-20, and offensive coordinator in 2021) and the Denver Broncos (offensive assistant in 2016-17, passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2022) before his current gig as passing game coordinator in San Francisco. Kubiak played safety at Colorado State from 2005-2009.

Scott Turner is the son of a long-time NFL coach as well in Norv Turner. Like Kubiak, Turner has also worked in both college and the pros with NFL stops with Carolina Panthers (offensive quality control in 2011-12, quarterbacks coach in 2018-19), Cleveland Browns (wide receivers coach, 2013), Minnesota Vikings (quarterbacks coach in 2014-16), and Washington (offensive coordinator 2020-22) before his current position with the Raiders as passing game coordinator.

It was also reported by Breer, among others, that Caley has a second, in-person interview with the team on Monday. ESPN's Mike Reiss noted on Sunday that the former Patriots' and now Rams tight ends coach is "viewed by some close to the process as well-positioned to ultimately lead the offense."
