The Patriots' short week with Thursday Night Football is also a 'Rivalries' week, meaning New England will debut their 'Nor'Easter' rivalries uniforms.
At least one player, safety Jaylinn Hawkins, is a tremendous fan of the special edition look.
"This is probably the hardest uniforms: dope, cool, there’s very nice. I’m just trying to give you all the rundown," Hawkins said at his locker Monday. "They’re very nice. They’re probably the nicest uniforms I’ve worn in my entire football career."
Thursday night's game hosting the New York Jets is the only time New England will wear the steely blue jerseys. The Patriots caught the Buffalo Bills on their own "Rivalries" jersey night when they beat them in Week 5, on the Sunday Night Football national stage.
"They're dope. I've never had a uniform this unique, and the color scheme, just the way they look. It's got a lot of aura to it," Hawkins said. "I'm like, this is dope. You see the white helmets. It's dope."
Only seven other teams, from both the AFC East and NFC West divisions, will wear the alternate uniforms this year.
