FOXBOROUGH -- After a number of injuries in Sunday's win over the Jets, the majority of these players returned to practice Wednesday.
The Patriots had perfect attendance at Wednesday's session, which was held indoors due the rain and heavy wind.
Dont'a Hightower, who didn't play at all against the Jets, was on the field, and then Devin McCourty, Shaq Mason, Jonnu Smith and Carl Davis, all of whom suffered injuries in the game, were present as well. Harvey Langi suffered a knee injury in the win and was placed on IR earlier in the week.
Cornerback Shaun Wade (concussion) also was present for the first time in a new weeks.
In addition, there were two new defensive backs.
One was veteran Brian Poole, who NFL Media's Ian Rapoport says has signed to the practice squad. It's not known yet who the other player was, but could be one the team worked out last week.
New England will take on the Chargers in L.A. this Sunday.
